ABOUT US

Our Mission

To create a liaison between our communities:

To compile and evaluate data concerning unfair, deleterious and unjust conditions that exist in the fire service, and implement action to correct such injustices.

To promote interracial progress throughout the fire service, and to ensure that competent minorities from within our community are recruited and employed in the fire service; also aiding in the motivation of our Brothers and Sisters to seek advancement to higher rank in the New Orleans Fire Department.

IN THE COMMUNITY

As firefighters it is our duty to serve the citizens of New Orleans.  As members of the B.A.N.O.F.F. it is our responsibility to give back to our community.  Each year we partner with a local charitable nonprofit by volunteering as mentors or helping with fundraising events. Annually we support two local Senior Centers and serve Holiday Luncheons to seniors.

B.A.N.O.F.F. will also assists families who have become displaced due to a fire in their home, support families in need during the holiday season, and provide small scholarships to students who are children of B.A.N.O.F.F. members.
